You Make Me Happy

This is a pic of my hubby and I. I have a silly helmet on my head because we were riding dune buggy's on the beach. We had so much fun! 

I used papers from my C'est Magnifique kotm. I made the white/grey flowers using my rose creations die. I stamped and glimmer misted the page. I also used lots of layering, using lace from the kit and chippies.

February 24th Project Life Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hello everyone and hope you had a great week! It's time again, for a new challenge at SOUS. For this project life challenge, the twist is to use a ~Pocket With Card~.
You may interpret this twist in any way you wish. Remember your projects can be uploaded to our blog and you have two weeks to submit an entry. Below is my PL entry:

These pics are of my family. Pics I took during the holidays. I used a couple of pocket filled small envelopes and included some personal notes of those days. 

I also used some papers from stash and also some cards from my Becky Higgins collection.

Titled: Such A Lovely Day

This is a pic of my husband and me. In celebration of Valentine's Day I thought I'd go all mushy on you. Lol

I created this layout using papers from my C'est Magnifique KOTM. These gorgeous papers are from the the Believe line at Manor House Creations. 

Here is a closeup. I did some hand stitching, and ink distressing. I also inked and sprayed the paper with glimmer mist.

Love Story

These are pics of my husband and me. I used cards from my project life, Becky Higgins holiday edition. I just love that this collection includes all the holidays and seasons. It makes it fun and easy to pick a card and put a memorable story together. 

I also used some chipboard I had in my stash..all in all I really like how this page turned out.

Jan 31st Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hello Everyone! Whew..I'm glad to be back. I feel like it's been forever since I've updated my blog. 

We have another wonderful challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches which will run from Jan 31st- Feb 13th.

I created this layout using my Swirlydoos kotm. This is a picture of my niece..posing like she's a lil angel, lol.  The papers are from fabscraps..they are gorgeous! Love the pinks, blues, and grays. I did some punching around the page and distressing. I also used my   starburst spray from Lindy's to add some pop of color.

This is a picture I took while driving into Ruidoso NM. I love seeing this church sitting on top of this tall hill all by itself. 

The papers I used are from my C'est Magnifique kit of the month. I love these papers and the colors. Some of the flowers are from my personal stash. I also did some punching, distressing, and inking.

Titled: At Christmas All Roads Lead Home

This is a pic of my mother and brother. I just loved this picture and has become one of my favs of them two. I used papers from my C'est Magnifique kit of the month. The papers are gorgeous, from inkido happy Christmas collection. 

I distressed the edges and painted the circle chippy that came in the kit. I also used flowers from the kit and from my stash.

December 6th Sketch Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It's time for another awesome sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches. This sketch was created by our lovely Nanne' and will run from Dec 6th for two weeks.

The Shortest Distance Between Two People Is A Smile

This is a layout I created using  pic of my hubby and me. I also used papers and embellies that came in my Swirlydoos KOTM. I painted some chippies, punched and distressed, and did some hand stitching. 

I also stamp embossed the tags and painted them with distress ink and glimmer mist spray.

Here are my projects created using the Swirlydoos' December kit. 

This first project is based on this month's sketch (using a pic of my hubby and I). 

I distressed the edges of the paper and tucked in some hidden lace here and there. I also lightly misted the background using a stencil. I added some metal brads around the page and added the TH metal word band that came in our kit. I painted the chippy with embossing powder and used lots of embellies.  

Here is the sketch provided by our lovely sketch artist Beggahuna. 

In this layout (I used a pic of my beautiful mother and handsome brother) I decided to use the lighter shades of white, yellow and green. I did some punching and  ink distressing. I also made the large yellow flower using TH's tattered poinsettia die. I fussy cut the ornaments and added some bling to make them look like they are hanging. The background paper has a stencil painted with starburst sprays and also some gold crackling color by viva. I added some resins and chippies and brads. 

This final layout I made (using a pic of my family) with two different shades. I did some hand stitching and of course, my paper distressing. The rub-on's and flowers came in our kit. 

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Friday 12/6 to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on Saturday 12/7. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:
