And here is my interpretation:
Memories
This is a pic of my grandmother giving my cousin Daniel a kiss on the cheek, while we sing to him happy birthday. It was so sweet and loving that I couldn't resist to use this picture.
I used the KOTM from swirlydoos. The papers are from the .75cent Kaisercraft collection. They are gorgeous papers.

I made the flower on the right using a mcgill punch. I also inked the edges with chalk ink. The chippy is from blue fern studios, fancy fob watch which i colored with crackle paint and spritzed with moon shadow mist from lindy's stamp gang.

Here is a closeup of the flowers from petaloo and prima. Also the grungeboard that I painted with liquitex modeling paste.

Here's another pic of the flower cluster.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

And here is my interpretation:

Enjoy the Moments that make you Smile

This is a picture of my darling husband, chillin with his cigar in hand.
I used the KOTM from swirlydoos to create this layout. The papers are from the kaisercraft .75cent collection. Lots of wonderful greens, teals, and yellows.

This chippy is from DA along with the trim. I colored it with black gesso and silks acrylic glaze. I did lots of punching and ink distressing. I also used my TA glimmermist misting and spritzing.

These flowers are from petalaloo.

I just love cutting the zipper embellishment and putting here and there around the layout.

I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Team Challenge Finally

This is it everyone, the last week and the finally of this awesome learning experience! Wow! Six weeks of challenges over at Swirlydoos.  And each week we got to create a project using a different technique.

This final week we had to not only follow the sketch provided to us, but..but..apply layering, distressing, use of different mediums, and an additional technique of our choice.

Below are pictures with closeups of my layout:

She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten.

This is a pic of me in both color and in black and grey.
I used papers from one of the past Swirlydoos kits. I also did some hand stitching with embossing and distressing.

Here's a closeup of the layering and distressing. You can also see on the right I did some stamp embossing using embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang. On the left I just stamped with distress ink the image to the paper.

Here's a closeup of the leaf stencil used with light modeling paste.

This is a closeup of the DA chippy which was painted with GM spray and stamped with acrylic paint. I also added some chalk ink to the edges. Oh and some pearls.

This is a closeup of the stitching, bling, stencil and glimmer mist.

I made this flower using the flower cabbage tutorial on Natasha Naranjo Aguirre's blog.

Here you can see the stamp embossing and also the modeling paste.

Thanks for looking!

Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Challenge

Hi Everyone!

This is the first week for the challenge running at Swirlydoos. The challenge asked for a multi-dimensional-embellishment. So here is my entry with details! My layout is titled "Magical".

Here is my embellishment. I used a butterfly Sizzix die cut, painted the butterfly first with some white gesso. Then I mixed some Liquitex glass beads with silks acrylic gaze in teal zircon. Once it dried, I spritzed the butterfly with gossamer gold moonshadow mist and glory of the seas gold starburst spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  For the body of the butterfly I used some beads from Art C. I added some prima crystals to the corners.

Here's a closeup, hoping you can see the fairy dust glitter I also sprinkled on here.

This is a pic of DH and I. I used papers from the KOTM over at Swirlydoos. I love these FabScrap Organic papers! They are gorgeous..gorgeous!! I painted some DA I had, used flowers from Kaisercraft and Prima.

Here's a closeup of the flower cluster.

And another closeup of the butterfly.

Thanks for looking!

I created this card using papers from the swirlydoos kit, The Paper Doll.  It included papers from Kaisercraft The Lake House Collection.
This is the inside of the card.

This is a pic of the small cluster. I painted the dusty attic chippy in embossing powder, Razzleberry Plum from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Here's a closeup of the grunge paper rose that I made. It was my first time making these roses..aaah! I made both roses using Tim Holtz Grungepaper, spritzed with starburst spray in Black Orchid Silver and Pretty in Pink Pink from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I also inked the edges with black coal chalk ink.
For a video tutorial on how to make the grunge paper rose click here.

I did some stamp embossing and here's another closeup of my grunge paper rose.
Thanks for looking and would love to hear from you!

SwirlyHues Challenge Entry

Hello Everyone! Below is a picture of the palette used for the SwirlyHues Challenge over at Swirlydoos.  The deadline for submission is today, yikes..barely made it! The entry you submit must also include one of the many tutorials offered at swirlydoos. I used a tutorial by Camilla, making your own background paper.
Here is the palette:

And here is my layout. It is a picture of hubby and I the day we got married. The papers are from the Oh So Chic may kit at swirlydoos.

I spritzed my entire page with a mask included in one of our past kits. I accented the spritzed diamonds using smooch paint.  I also punched the corners and distressed the edges. The flowers are from prima (Cinderella collection daisy), kaisercraft and what was included in our kit.

The hourglass used is the dusty attic piece DA0642.

The butterflies are from Kay's Kreative Korner etsy shop.

Here's a closeup of the title. "Forever 1.for all future time 2.at all times or on every occasion."
